Ready for your next adventure?

Golden Adventures brings people together to explore new places, build connections, and enjoy fun experiences in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Thanks to funding from the Healthy Aging Alberta grant, these low-cost outings take place monthly and feature a variety of local and out-of-town destinations.

From attractions and special events to unique experiences and hidden gems, every trip offers something new to discover.

Transportation by Connex is provided, and outings are planned with accessibility and comfort in mind. Registration opens on the first business day of each month, and spots are limited—trips fill quickly, so be sure to register early!

Opening Minds Through Art

Opening Minds Through Art is a creative program that encourages seniors to express themselves, connect with others, and engage in meaningful artistic activities. No previous art experience is required, and the focus is on enjoyment, creativity, and participation rather than skill level.

Sessions may include guided art activities in a supportive and welcoming environment. Materials and instruction are provided, and programs may run as a series or at scheduled times throughout the year. Space may be limited, and registration may be required.

Seniors Week Events are held annually to celebrate seniors and recognize their contributions to the community. Activities may include social gatherings, presentations, recreational events, or special programs designed for enjoyment and connection.

Events vary each year and may be offered over several days. Participation details, schedules, and any registration requirements are shared closer to the event dates. Everyone is welcome to take part in celebrating Seniors Week.

Community Dinner

Community Dinner is a welcoming, community‑wide meal open to people of all ages. This program provides an opportunity for individuals, families, and seniors to come together, share a meal, and connect with others in an inclusive and friendly environment.

Community Dinner is held at the Lacombe Memorial Centre on the third Wednesday of each month. The program runs seasonally, with the last dinner held in June and the program resuming again in September (no dinner in December).

This evening is designed to reduce isolation, encourage connection, and strengthen a sense of belonging within the community. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you come on your own or with others. Details such as meal times and any special notes are shared through program posters and announcements.
