Home Support Provider

Lacombe and District Family and Community Support Services have an opening for a casual Home Support Provider. This FCSS program provides light housekeeping and assistance with meal preparation and groceries for seniors and those needing help to manage household duties in the City of Lacombe and Lacombe County.

• Provide light housekeeping duties (laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, dusting)
• Assist with meal preparation and purchasing of groceries if required
• Share knowledge and awareness of community resources
• Report to the FCSS Home Support Coordinator at the end of each day
• Prepare and submit timesheets and schedules.
• Good interpersonal skills with people of all ages
• Cleaning Experience
• Reliability and ability to work within a team
• Reliable vehicle/valid driver’s license

Lacombe and District Family and Community Support Services are seeking a casual driver for the Lacombe Connex Service. A spare position covering extra events and vacation or leaves for regular drivers. Connex is available to seniors and others unable to access regular transportation because of age, disability or mobility. This service is offered through Lacombe & District FCSS in partnership with the City of Lacombe.

• Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, dialysis trips and charters.
• Assist mobility-challenged clients (wheelchairs, walkers), and secure for transport.
• Collect fees, and report ridership to FCSS weekly.
• Complete daily inspections on buses and report any issues.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of bus, daily log reports, and fueling.
• Flexible, adaptable to frequent schedule changes.
• Driving in adverse weather conditions
• Class 4 Drivers License and Clean Drivers Abstract
• Driver Training and Experience are Preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
